From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is a category of enlisted soldiers of the Continental Army. For commissioned officers, see Category:Continental Army officers.

Many soldiers who fought for the United States in the Revolutionary War were in state militias rather than the Continental Army. Those who fought only in state militias are listed in the category Category:American militiamen in the American Revolution. If a soldier served both in the Continental Army and the militia, he should be listed in both categories.
