WAG stands for Wives And Girlfriends, and is a term typically associated with English football but has, since the term's first use in 2004, been extended to include some other sports and nationalities. If a WAG separates from her partner, she is still referred to as a WAG, and hence should remain in this category. Only those for whom the term is defining should be added here.
