Hounds are a group of hunting dogs bred for finding and trailing game by sight or scent.

The Hound Group is also an official dog breed grouping for most of the major kennel clubs including the AKC, ANKC, CKC, Fédération Cynologique Internationale, KC(UK), NZKC, and UKC.
