From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

There is only one International unit of flow. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_System_of_Units. Burma, Liberia, and the United States do not use these international units. The exception to this rule is "The knot is a unit of speed equal to one nautical mile per hour". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knot_(unit). Historically there have been many types of measurement units, including those used by the above three nations.
