This category is used for administration of the Wikipedia project, and is not part of the encyclopedia. It contains pages that are not articles, or groups articles by status rather than content.

When protecting pages, administrators can optionally have the protection expire after a certain time. However, any protection templates added to the page are not automatically removed when the protection expires. To avoid confusion, they should be removed manually.

The protection templates accept an "expiry" parameter, which should be specified when a template is added to a page under time-limited protection. If the expiry date passes and the template has not yet been removed, the page will appear in this category.

Any pages listed here should have their protection template removed, unless they are still protected. If this is the case, the template's expiry parameter is incorrect, or the page was re-protected, either indefinitely or for a longer period of time. Contact the administrator who protected the page if there is any doubt.
